The second year after Boston University India Club [BUIC] took over complete management of GarbaFest proved to be an even bigger hit! Teams from Florida, Indiana, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, Virginia, and Washington D.C were featured. Exhibition acts included BU Fatakadas, the nations top raas team of 2008, Jalwa, BU's fusion team, and BU Bhangra!

BUY DVD!

This was the first year that Boston University India Club [BUIC] took over complete management of GarbaFest. Even with new management, the event was a great success by bringing in teams from Georgia, New York, Maryland, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. Exhibition acts included Jalwa, BU's hottest fusion team, Suno, BU's amazing A Capella group, and Dheem, BU's classical dance group!

After an unfortunate gap in the year 2005, Boston Indian Students Association [BISA] partnered with Boston University India Club [BUIC] in order to bring back one of Boston's most highlighted events: GarbaFest - Brace Yourselves, Bostons Back! The return of GarbaFest was welcomed widely in the Boston community. This was the year the schools from Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, and Georgia participated. The exhibition teams consisted of Jalwa, BU's fusion team, and Vibes, BU's hip-hop fusion dance team.

This was the debut GarbaFest competition which was presented by Boston Indian Students Association [BISA]. GarbaFest is known as one of the oldest intercollegiate garba/raas competitions held in the United States.
